Madrigal Pharmaceuticals
Overview
Corporate Contributions Microsite
Madrigal Pharmaceuticals engaged our team to design a dedicated corporate contributions experience that would live alongside, but remain structurally distinct from their primary corporate website.
The goal was to create a clear, compliant, and scalable digital destination for healthcare professionals, researchers, and partner organizations seeking funding opportunities, educational contributions, or research collaboration.
My role focused on creating new page layouts using Madrigal’s existing design system and component library, while also restructuring and refining content to improve clarity, usability, and alignment with user intent.
Objectives
Clearly communicates Madrigal’s contribution programs and funding opportunities
Establish a structured, centralized destination where users can easily understand available programs, their purpose, and how they align with Madrigal’s therapeutic focus.
Creates scalable framework that can support future program growth
Design flexible architecture that allows Madrigal to introduce new programs or expand existing ones without requiring structural redesign.
Uses Madrigal’s existing design system to ensure consistency and efficiency
Leverage existing components to maintain visual consistency with the brand while improving structural usability and reducing development overhead.
Improves content clarity, hierarchy, and scannability
Restructure dense content into modular, digestible sections that allow users to quickly find relevant information and understand next steps.
My Role & Approach
UX Architect & Product Designer
Creating wireframes and page layouts using existing system components
Designed page structures using Madrigal’s design system, ensuring consistency while improving usability through thoughtful component composition.
Collaborating with stakehilders to align UX decisions with business and compliance requirements
Partnered with medical, compliance, and business teams to ensure solutions met both user needs and organizational constraints.
Improving information architecture and page clarity
Simplified navigation and content grouping to create clearer pathways and reduce user confusion.
Ensuring scalability and design system consistency
Created layouts that could support future expansion without introducing design consistency.
Design Constraints
This project required working within Madrigal’s existing design system and component library. Rather than creating new components, I focused on recomposing existing modules into more effective layouts.
Component reuse and modular flexibility
Leveraged existing components in new configurations to improve usability without increasing development complexity. This approach ensured faster implementation while maintaining system integrity and visual consistency across the microsite.
Content hierarchy within fixed component structures
Carefully structured content within predefined modules to improve clarity while maintaining design system constraints. This ensured users could easily scan and understand complex information without introducing new components.
Visual prioritization without introducing new UI patterns
Used layout, spacing, and grouping to guide user attention and emphasize key actions. This improved usability and content comprehension while preserving consistency with Madrigal’s established design system.
Maintaining consistency while improving usability
Balanced system constraints with user needs to deliver meaningful UX improvements within existing frameworks. This ensured the experience remained cohesive while significantly improving clarity, usability, and scalability.
